A group of former leaders from Cinnober Financial Technology established Vermiculus in 2020 as a response to the huge gap between supply and demand in the market for Independent providers of best in class technology. As of today, the company has 25 employees and is growing fast. Employees will be the majority owners. Vermiculus is not only a traditional vendor, but a partner.

Headquartered in the center of Stockholm, the Vermiculus team consists of hand-picked industry and domain experts who have led technical transformations for many of the world's largest exchanges and clearing houses during the past three decades, including B3, Japan Exchange Group, OCC, Australian Stock Exchange, Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange, London Metal Exchange and Clearinghouse, Stock Exchange of Thailand and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

The team has been a pioneer of technical paradigm shifts for the financial industry allowing exchanges and clearing houses to reach record levels of volumes and business diversity and looks forward to maintaining that position. Vermiculus has signed its first customers within the CCP risk management area and has formed a cross-functional project team to serve its customers.

Vermiculus aims to continue developing modern technology, cloud-enabled and modular for all asset classes with real-time features, to serve business-critical projects where requirements on quality, data volume and reliability are immense. The solutions cover the entire lifecycle of a trade from pre-trade risk management to comprehensive margin calculations through the final settlement.
