Taraneh Derayati appointed as Chief Executive Officer at Vermiculus Financial Technology
Vermiculus board of directors has appointed Taraneh Derayati as Chief Executive Officer.
Taraneh Derayati has vast experience in leading large technical transformation projects within the exchange and clearing areas. She has been coaching different divisions at Nasdaq on how to deliver projects in an agile way and how to implement agile practices at scale. During her years at Cinnober and Nasdaq, Mrs. Derayati has gained broad financial experience and a deep understanding of how different markets operate around the world.
Mrs. Derayati wrote her master thesis at Cinnober Financial Technology as a start of her career, over ten years ago and has since held several key positions within the company. Prior to her employment at Vermiculus, Mrs. Derayati was head of sales, business development and client account management at Cinnober where she led some of the firm's largest sales before it was acquired by Nasdaq. She continued as Vice President at Nasdaq Market Technology division where she led a major clearing project to replace the infrastructure with a new RealTime Clearing system.

Mrs. Derayati earned an engineering degree in industrial management, with a MSc in financial mathematics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology where she also studied electrical engineering in parallel.
